Yves Saint Laurent museum closed until fall 2027!
I honestly can’t believe it!
The Musée YSL is closing for 2.5 years! They only announced it on the first day of the closure earlier this week, which makes it even more surprising. It is most definitely one of my favourite museums as I visit it on every trip, except this one, I guess. And the next 4!
They are renovating the building at 5 Avenue Marceau to create space for a new documentation and research centre, and apparently to provide access to Pierre Berger’s office. They have promised there will be off-site exhibitions in the meantime, at other institutions, plus the YSL Museum in Marrakesh, so keep your eyes peeled for that. I hope it also means more opportunities to offer special visits like they’ve had in the past, where they take you through some of the archive pieces in the old couture studios on the upper floors, or where you get to see the processes behind the creation of these incredible historic garments.
Subscribe to the newsletter to get details on upcoming visits, and in the meantime, I have still got some fabulous and exclusive Paris Fashion Experiences lined up for you in 2026, which you can check out here. Let’s go to Paris!
